Friday News- Off on holiday!

25 September 2009

No football today of any interest. Nice golf winner from JG yesterday and Dutch and Win kept the winning cycles going with my method. For those not interested in progressive staking or cover to win using the Dutch Ebook exactly as it comes a bank of £1000 on August 1st would now be over £3200 aiming for £100 profit per race after Betfair commission so they are producing without the cover to win as well but obviously for me profits are higher using my method.

PLEASE NOTE. I am away to Majorca tomorrow for a week and will  not be on personal email until the 5th October so you will not get a reply. SELECTION emails for all system subscribers will continue I shall still research the matches and send them out, I will also update this blog if I get the opportunity.

Any system gets sent your way to purchase just hold fire and resist the sales pitch temptations, I received a Bingo system yesterday do people have no scruples or credibility!!

Gambling thought whilst I am away – “If you will just start with the idea this is a hard world, it will all be much simpler”

Why I didn’t buy the shirt!

24 September 2009

A good day yesterday, Dutch and Win firing nicely again and the football was in top form pleased to keep System 3 at 100% for the season so far and FTS straight forward profits last night. Went shopping with the good lady to revamp the wardrobe for a couple of upcoming holidays. An interesting scenario developed. I don’t do flash clothes, happy with a pair of jeans and t shirt and like things plain not into big designer labels everywhere. Those who have met me know I am not the biggest person so getting this designer stuff in my leg length etc is impossible anyhow so normally it is a visit to Next once or twice a year to top up the old wardrobe. However the good lady decided I needed smartening up a bit as one of the holidays is with some friends of hers and she “wants me looking decent”, not sure what that means!!!

A trip to Bluewater and wandering round the House of Fraser mens department I spotted a really nice white shirt. Plain white casual shirt with a subtle stripe, lovely that will do for me. Called the wife over, what do you think of that etc etc, lovely lovely get it. Dolce & Gabbana £125.

Seeing the price ticket, I hung the shirt back up, “I can’t get that £125 for a shirt they are having a laugh”

Left the shop then struggled to find anything decent that fitted and mentioned how nice the shirt was again to the wife at which point the conversation went like this-

“Go and get it then”

“I am not getting it at £125 for a plain white shirt”

“You crack me up you think nothing of putting £125 on a horse or a football match”

“Yes but that represents value not being ripped off”

The conversation followed these lines but my explanation was failing so I gave up and moved on, but I didn’t buy the shirt.

What is my point? I couldn’t get the conversation out of my head for hours and in fact it is 3.30 am and I am up still thinking about it (insomnia is a right bugger, I welcome any cure advice), hence now writing this post. My wifes perception is I put £125 on a horse and the money is irrelevant but I won’t treat myself for the same amount. However I will only put that £125 on when I think I am getting value, i.e what I consider the right price for the investment. I would have bought the shirt at £75 or maybe £80 but at £125 it was not value. I know it had a name and you pay more etc and I am not tight but at the end of the day it was just a plain white shirt so £75 was probably the top price. As I tried to explain to my wife I would not put £125 on a football team at 2/1 when they should be 3/1. A point she could not grasp and a point I think a lot of gamblers fail on. The shirt was a good buy at the right price, a bet is a good bet at the right price but at the wrong price it is a bad bet and that is something you should always be aware of, particularly if you get involved in short price betting or laying.

I don’t know whether this will be classed as a good post or whether I come across as a tight fisted numpty, which I genuinely am not, value is value whatever you do, and I wouldn’t make a bet at what I considered a bad price and I wouldn’t pay £50 over the top for a shirt just for a name.

I was rescued by John Lewis got almost exactly the same looking shirt for £65 without the D&G on it, who would even notice!!

Nothing football wise for today.

The mighty Spurs netting 5. saw the goals on Sky Sports News, couple of beauties and our front men are firing. I can see another day at Wembley beckoning, all we need are Modric, Woodgate and King all fit and I do feel the season is going to be half decent. I will also add if Hull stay up this year I will be amazed!! Only two relegation spots available then!

Wednesday News

23 September 2009

Football mails will be sent this morning bets on FTS, 15 min and System 3, I personally am out at a family gathering so can’t bet tonight but good luck to you all who are and make a few quid. A good Dutch and Win day yesterday which was handy!

Regarding that Horse Betting King sent yesterday, these people are really dangerous and in my opinion nasty pieces of work, they set everything up along the same lines, and everything is just false, misrepresented and figures which are completely pie in the sky, but to someone with no money who gets sucked in it can be really damaging.

The Betfair screenshot on the page relates nothing to the system, it is a laying system and the losses on the screen are for tiny amounts, the system recommends laying 6/1 to 10/1 shots after the usual Racing post criteria and laying at that price means you lose minimum 6 times your stake and when you win you only win your stake. i.e a lay of £100 at 6/1 wins £100 less commission but loses £600 every time there is a loser so the screen shot is false and I know these things can be doctored in photoshop, just don’t know how.

The statements are then completely false, 228 selections in last 20 months that means if they ALL were winning lays for you at £100 a time you would win £22,800 less Betfair commission but just two lines later they claim £58400 to level £100 stakes. It is blatant lies and mis-direction.

We will never stop it but we can reduce it, I get most mails from these idiots but feel free to send it to me. Do not buy, I will always check things for you.

If you have bought exercise the 8 week clickbank refund and after enough refunds clickbank close the account but of course they open up again through a different email address. I am not a forum poster but if you are get the word out.

I am out all day and night so emails etc will get looked at tomorrow afternoon

A mail from the South Africa boys re Horse Betting King, I have a copy and will be reviewing it, early glances are not inspiring but will post on here in next day or so. Don’t dive in and fall for the old claptrap!

UPDATE Already in 15 minutes I have found serious flaws I will post more details tomorrow but my advice is do not buy!!

No action yesterday except for one Dutch and Win bet which won and happened to be number 5 in the series so therefore keeping the winning sequence going and heading towards another profitable month although they are slightly down on winners this month. I know when it gets to 4 or 5 in the series that the emails start to flow in as people start to get anxious as stakes increase and I will share some thoughts with you about my staking and long term thinking.

We love to focus on negatives, I mentioned in a past post how when I was in the states that an American sat next to me said how his first experience of England was that we moan alot and everything in the news and in our conversation is negative and I have to agree. 95% of the email I get is about people losing. However 95% of the email I get from the people in my Mentor group is not about losing but about how they are winning and how they can win more. I like to regularly send them some mental coaching articles and am preparing one this week. As such I have spoken to a few of them on the phone to see how its going etc and reports are positive. Just yesterday I spoke to a mentor member who I met at Lingfield when we had the day out, decent guy who has bet the football with me for a few years now and before mentoring my view would be his bank went up and down, now with some structure in place he reported a £12,000 increase in his bank in about 6 months, bearing in mind we have had a close season in that period. I am over the moon for him.

Why is it relevant? It is about changing his mindset and determining what he or anyone else is trying to achieve from betting.

Staking – One article I wrote early for the mentors tackled the subject of speed and greed. People want to win as much money as they can as quickly as possible. This invariably leads to too big a stakes and a loss makes a big hole. Mindset then reverts to chasing and another loss wipes out too much money but also affects mental state. I have had another mentor member this week who subscribed to a football fixed odds system, had no idea of how it would perform and started staking way over the top. He now has the dilemma that he has lost a fair bit so wants to stay at those stakes to get his money back. Any system should be started small and built up with winnings. If the system works stakes will soon increase and income will increase as a result. Steady progression will always beat greed.

I will always argue the case for progressive staking and a form of loss recovery it enables me to maximise winnings and make more than most gamblers. I have had many arguments with people about something that does not win at level stakes cannot win using loss recovery – YES IT CAN AS LONG AS IT IS MANAGED and I will prove it to anyone. Instantly the smart alecs will quote roulette, yes any form of loss recovery staking or even level staking at roulette will lose. Of course it will every spin of the wheel is set against you and the likelihood of the result is impossible to predict as the odds are constant. We should all know just because it has been 10 blacks on the trot the next spin will not necessarily be red, the odds on it being red or black are exactly the same.

However when I am making my own picks or following someone elses picks that I know works I know the odds on the outcome are in my favour. They are not the same every time, I have not lost 3 football games straight on FTS in 3 years. That is not luck as the spin of a roulette wheel it is down to my research to get the bet in my favour before it is placed.

With that information I can operate a loss recovery over a three game cycle with confidence. There will come a time when I lose but I know I am losing winnings that were not mine and that over the long term of a year I come out on top. I manage my loss recovery so it does not wipe me out and winnings will over the course of a year will always be more, even if I have a couple of losing weeks or even months.

With my Dutch and Win method it is exactly the same. I have settled on a sensible level of loss recovery based on 5 bets which I based on the regularity of the winners I have seen, and I cannot see anyway that it will not return a good 5 figure annual income. One cycle is completely irrelevant. I have encoutered 5 or 6 losing cycles over a 4 month period but almost 250 winners. All that matters come the end of the year is number of winners, minus the number of losing cycles equals profit and that is how I look at it. If it didn’t then I either tweak it or ditch it. The emails I receive are too focused on what is happening on any given day if they have 3 or 4 losers. It does not matter in the slightest. Yes any form of loss recovery will mean somewhere you will place bets that make you uncomfortable but if it is thought out it is irrelevant. The money I have won from Dutch and Win is winnings, it is not mine, I didnt have it 4 months ago so if I give a bit back in a losing cycle so be it, all that matters in anything I do is as I say I started with “x” amount have bet it for a year, I monitor performance regularly and as such I now have “xxx” amount. Provided I am consistent in what I do, do not chase a loss and get too married to the monetary side and operate a process I will win. The wheels would have to come right off and then obviously I would notice the downturn in performance and adjust what I do, reduce stakes for example until it picks up, but I cannot lose.

On Saturday after the FTS game where Rangers were reduced to 10 men I had 3 people email me and unsubscribe from selections, it is crap it does not work etc, we all know what happened on Sunday, a nice winner to get back on track. Losers will always happen it is getting into the long term view that is important. It is impossible for me at lose at FTS, completely inpossible, as I now feel it is with Dutch and Win and the other betting systems in my portfolio. Not because I am better than anyone else, I assure you I am not but I have learned to look long term and bet accordingly to what I know works and one days result does not matter. I said last week a months review of something is no true reflection. review Dutch and Win in May and you ditch it instantly, review it in August when it would have made over £1500 without any progressive staking and you think it is great. I am sure this goes for many systems and hence you will get different opinions. Betting is all about getting through the rough spells in tact and maximising the good spells and for me a sensible form of progressive staking does that.

You will have losing days and you will get down, I hate losing but once you accept that is what happens and as long as you manage your reaction to losing and stake accordingly you have to win. The biggest battle with gambling is the mental battle, win that and you win the financial battle. Jumping from system to system after a few days will never work. You do not have to dive in, paper trade, see if there is a way of making it work, if you are then confident it can win for you start small and build up your stakes with winnings. If it is a bag of nails bin it.

There may be football this evening but any selections will be sent later as we may have some indifferent teams being fielded personel wise as it is Carling Cup.

P.S Mentor group is closed there are no membership options open.

Monday Hangover!

21 September 2009

A good day for FTS yesterday, System 3 wins again, no 15 min qualifiers and a late goal in Spain to scupper the Cashbuilder bet so two left in that cycle and 2 from 3 on the NFL, Panthers gave it a real go late on but just could not get there. All the paper talk about the extra time at Man Utd yesterday, never mind all that what about the penalty that was never given at Stamford Bridge, Webb tucks us up again gives a non penalty at Old Trafford from 30 yards away last season, then doesn’t award a nailed on one when he is only 6 yards away and he is the best we have apparently, best for the big clubs maybe.

Thought Spurs played quite well particularly early on but when we missed a couple of chances and then lost our defence to injury there was only one outcome. Man Utd battered Man City who scored 3 goals through very un-Man Utd-like errors and further worry for the state of English goalkeeping. My only question to Mark Hughes is would he have bleated about injury time had City scored, of course he wouldn’t just like he didn’t when it happened numerous times when he played at Old Trafford, stop whining the best team by a mile won. No footy today may have some midweek action though.

Sunday News

20 September 2009

A hectic day yesterday, an out at two FTS game which was effectively killed off with the first half sending off, but the day turned round and shows why having a portfolio of betting activity pays and makes a profit. Winning cashbuilder bet to be 100% for the season, winning system 3 bet 100% for the season, the 3 qualifying 15 min bets all won, JG had winners ar 12/1 and 13/2 and Andy had 1 winning lay from 1 again and football for income who had also two bets on the Rangers game pulled it all back, you can’t trust those Gooners bet them to win 3-0 and they have to get the last minute goal to make it 4-0, just hate them.

Emails I receive all the time on this topic, where can I buy a system that I can just place my bet and leave as I don’t have time. I do appreciate that people do not have time, I have a family etc myself but does the question have the hidden meaning of where can I win money the easy way. Yesterday I was at my computer for 9 hours placing bets and following activity. I like to keep an eye on everything, horse races may have non runners etc, football bets may need trading whatever it may be that enables me to make a profit, of course placing  a bet and leaving it and turning a nice profit is heaven. It is also vital particularly with the horses and also the football to not miss a bet, as sods law always dictates that it is a winner you miss and you back the losers, don’t ask me why it always works like that. If you are serious about winning you do need to get a good winning portfolio, not just jump from ebook system to ebook and manage your time and stakes across the systems accordingly.

More football today which will be sent out to subscribers of all systems throughout the morning.

Friday News

18 September 2009

About 4 lengths from a fortune yesterday JG four good priced places (3 seconds and a third) from 5 bets all each way so no damage but shows how you need a bit of luck, had a lot of near misses recently. Andy 1 from 1 that qualified and Dutch and Win another winner. Glad I avoided the Europa League although the scorelines would have made some decent trades it went way against the so called form and will make a note that there could be a few banana skins in that tournament. Question of the week- Celtic Supporters why can you not win away from home in Europe? I nearly had a fixed odds bet on you yesterday as I fancied you to win but your away record put me off thankfully. Back to the proper football tomorrow!
