Cheltenham 2023 Day 3

Cheltenham 2023 Day 3

Running -£356

Mighty Potter, clearly good, improvement to come but never won here. Appreciate It, only had 12 runs so although 9 engine not burnt out, fantastic Festival form. Evens versus 3/1 I have to take Appreciate It. I was also going to back Bambridge but now a non runner.

Appreciate it £50 win 4.2

Running -£406

23 runners but a bit of clever placement here for Thanksforthehelp, looks to have everything in favour and must have a big chance. An Tailliur mentioned for the places.

Thanksforthehelp £40 Win £5.4

An Tailliur £25 Win 15, £25 Place 3.8 – 4 Places

Running -£496

14.50 – Shishkin an obvious favourites chance but too short for me to get involved and has had past problems so could blow out. Three tentative ones at big prices in case that happen’s. Envoi Allen loves it here, Fury Road a solid if unspectacular type who finished behind Galopin Des Champs in Dublin and French Dynamite who has reasonable form here. 3 Places

Envoi Allen £30 Win 12.5, £30 Place 2.98

Fury Road £20 Win 14, £20 Place 2.96

French Dynamite £20 Win 30 , £20 Place 4.8

Running -£-90

15.30 – The Stayers Hurdle and looks a lot more open that a lot of the previous Stayers of recent times. Flooring Porter ging for 3 in a row and I like the price. Not mad keen on the favourite. Had word for Gold Tweet and strong word for Blazing Khal. Cannot back them all so I will go with Flooring Porter and Blazing Khal

Flooring Porter £25 Win 7.8

Blazing Khal £60 Win 5.7

Running -£175

16.10 – Tough handicap but So Scottish looks very well in here – same stable won this with The Shunter off 140 a couple years back and 143 for So Scottish looks well in. I have not got much else had a small word for Haut En Couleurs, I am sure they just give me these for the pronunciation.  As they are both ok prices that is my 2 win and place with 4 places

So Scottish £30 Win 7.2, £30 Place 2.38

Haut En Couleurs £25 Win 7.4, £25 Place 2.54

Running -£285

16:50 – Another piece of piss, 21 runner race. We have a favourite at 3.2, Luccia, she beat Palace Boy at Exeter albeit by 11 lengths but Palace Boy was last in the Supreme at 200/1 so got to take this on today. One for traders where laying it and then backing it back in play may be the play but lets have a few against it. Race named after Jack De Bromhead after the tragic accident and Henry has 5 riding in this today. I will have a couple of his for the fairytale and one of Mullins. Probably the Tri-Cast here

Lots of Joy £25 Win 7.8 £25 Place 2.8 – 3 Places

Foxy Girl £20 Win 13, £20 Place 3.85

Magical Zoe £20 Win 9 £20 Place 3.25

Running -£350

17:30 24 runners , 3miles 2f to finish, amateur jockeys. By now my wheelbarrow will be overflowing (and the reserve one as well) but I have been given 2 here and told the jockeys are quite capable.

Stumptown £30 Win 6.4, £30 Place 2.24

Beauport £30 Win 11.5, £20 Place 3.35

Running -£393

Got one Final one – 8.00 at the Emirates – SP. Lisbon, trained by Ruben Amorim, piloted by Marcus Edwards, a speedy type who is perfectly capable of getting the job done here against mediocre opposition. Fill Yer Boots! I say Fill Yer Boots! WON!
