As always each year I post my Cheltenham Bets which you are free to follow at your own peril. It is one of my favourite sporting events of the year, I absolutely love the week and cannot wait for it to start.
We have had some nice winners over the years and also some beatings it is one of those kind of meetings. I get good info, often too much of it and often discard the wrong ones and it is hard to win. I am happy to throw a couple of K at the meeting each year for the excitement, obviously hoping I turn a profit.
I will post all my selections here and the results at then update results through the week. Hopefully get some ammo early to fire back at the rest of the week.

I am backing Shishkin who has drifted overnight to a now backable price and despite the drift has a great chance. Travels well and quicken. Asterion Forlonge is a class horse but can jump right and messy. Abracabras may struggle up the hill as he did last year. Fiddlerontheroof looks a solid each way bet, does everything right. Good word also for Captain Guinness so I am having a small dabble there also (and I love the stuff which may be as god a reason as any at this meeting).

Irish look strong in this race and I am backing Fakir Doudairies to turn the form with Notebook. Couple at bigger prices mentioned Esprit and Maire Banrigh but doubts on all of them so all in Fakir in this one.

Tough race and a few with chances/mentions. Not sure favourite Vinndication will handle Cheltenham so a line through him. Next two in betting The Conditional and Discorama both well handicapped and expected to go well. At a price Quarenta can run a big race and must have a small tickle there or never forgive myself.

The feature of the day and not the greatest renewal. A few who could run well at decent prices so difficult to nail colours to any one mast. Epatante is the form horse and the 7lb allowance may seal it. At a huge price Darasso may be fitter and run a big race. So a small dabble there with cover on the favourite. I could have 6 bets in the race as small cases for many like Silver Streak – third last year, Coeur Sublime Supasundae and Darver Star all in with a chance if they run their race. I like prices so if we are going to win let’s win big

No bet race Benie Des Dieux will win and Honeysuckle will follow home for the forecast.

Beakstown a strong chance as looked laid out for this but not sure soft will suit so passed over. Imperial Aura looked good all season as has Hold The Note. At a big price Jarveys Plate seems to have targeted this race, needs thing to drop right but if they do could have a squeak.

Carefully Selected is the class horse but easily passable at the price. Newtide has the profile for this race and Forza Milan can run well with decent jockey on board. Lord Du Mesnil capable of dominating from front but a tougher track/test than Haydock/
