NFL Is Here

This weekend sees the start of the NFL season and I am pleased to say that legendary punter and friend of mine JG, who many of you know from previous years for both NFL and racing, will be supplying free NFL tips throughout the year. These will form part of the FTS Daily Free Tips for which you have to register for at:

Tips will be sent for the NFL usually on a Sunday, sometime before 3PM. It may be that two emails come out for the free tips on NFL days. Predominantly the tips will be on the handicap where a team is either given a mythical points head start or deficit and this handicap line, in effect, makes the teams even, so you will bet at odds around 10/11. There will be Over/Under point tips and other bets through the NFL season. When FTS started and JG provided horse racing tips to us, members had to subscribe to get the NFL tips so I am pleased he has offered these for free for the season.

I love NFL and usually attend the Wembley games, and we will soon have it at Spurs as part of the set up for the new ground. It is a great sport to bet on and watch, and to get tips from a friend who has made over a million betting on it is fantastic for us. If you want you can just follow, but if you are going to bet, then you need to set a proper bank (as with any service) of 75 points and bets will range from 1-5 points per match.

To get us started JG has offered up some pre-season thoughts and ante post advice for the Superbowl and specific division bets.

Superbowl
Green Bay at odds of 8/1 have an outstanding chance of glory this year and I expect them to win their division and obtain home advantage, which will be huge through the play-offs. They have Jordy Nelson available after injury last season which was a big factor in the under-performance, having been a favoured outlet for Aaron Rodgers. Injuries tend to play a part in the NFL season but if Green Bay keep everyone fit they will be right there, and at 8/1 it is a great price to secure a free trade towards the end of January when the season starts to wind down to its conclusion. It is not a unique pick but it is a wise pick.

At a value price, Houston look way too big at 33/1. The 3rd ranked defense from last year is unchanged, stronger if anything, with JJ Watt back from injury. Quarterback has long been an issue for Houston and to snare Brock Osweiler from rivals Denver, in effect weakening Denver and making themselves stronger, shows a real intent. At a price off 33/1 they simply cannot be ignored.

For those who don’t know about NFL, the set-up is two conferences, NFC and AFC, and ultimately the champion of each conference meet in the Superbowl. To get to that each conference is split into 4 divisions of 4 teams so we have 32 teams in total.

Winners of the divisions, and runners up with the best records, get through to the play-offs and then it is knock out with the better teams gaining home advantage.

The divisions can also be bet on and I have had a couple of bets here. These will tie money up to January when we switch to the play-off games.

Arizona to Win their Division NFC West 2 points at 6/4
New York Giants to win their division NFC East 2 points at 15/8
Houston to win their division AFC South 2 points at 2/1
Miami to finish bottom (4th) of their division AFC East 2 points at 6/4

Finally, there is the opening game of the season tonight and JG may have a bet in it. The Gambling Academy newsletters have been re-written and they will now be one booklet that will be downloadable as a PDF, although it needs to be proof-read and I need to correct any mistakes and then it will be uploaded. Those of you who have purchased it in the past, I will explain how and when you can access it.

Football returns this weekend. It is a drag with the international breaks and I still foresee that we are a month or so from getting fully going with another international break due at the start of October. They are a pain in the backside and here we are almost mid -September and Germany have played 1 game and Spain and Italy 2 games. It is taking forever to get going. Bet volume will pick up when we are on full swing across all FTS services, from Bankbuilder to Goals, Goals, Goals and the main FTS services, FTS Ultimate and FTS Enhanced. I will be adding the Correct Score manual shortly to the site for FTS Ultimate members and also some more training videos. But a lot of what we do requires 5 or 6 games to be played so I won’t be showing any strategies until we reach that point. I know some are inpatient to get going but once the second international beak is done we do get into a better rhythm of fixtures.

I have a lot on personally at the moment, my dog, famous for her appearances as main snorer in my videos, had a stroke a few days ago and whilst she has recovered, I believe it is the beginning of the end. My wife is having treatment weekly now and I have had the Norovirus and numerous attacks of gout which I am medicated for. I now have a tablet box labelled Monday – Sunday with all the medications I need to take so I think I may be officially classed as old, my son finds it funny – (I assure you it is not). Just please keep in mind when having your moan ups or impatient spats that we are human beings and we do have other things going on.

That said, the set up this year is exceptional and by the end of next month I believe everything you need will be on the site. The season will be in full flow and we will all be heading where we need to be from 1-2-1 and VIP members through to FTS Beginner.
