I have a couple of days off work at the end of next week and am planning spending a bit of time on learning about automation. I am a complete beginner and am not looking to do anything too fancy, just match odds betting to start with. Ideally I want to be able to automate placing my FTS Ultimate match odds bets at a specific price and if that price isn’t matched taking the available price 5 mins before kick off. Is there anyone who has recently learnt about automation that could recommend any good resources/places to start? As I said, complete beginner with zero prior knowledge so something akin to Automation for Dummies would be great .
Thanks in advance
Are you currently using any software? Bet Angel Professional offers automation via Guardian and there is a forum that has loads of helpful posts regarding setting up your bots, some people use BF Bot Manager and speak highly of it
It sounds as though what you want to do is quite easy and both of the above would accommodate it

I spent some time down a VBA rabbit hole trying to make work this out over the summer and failed. It’s been decades since I did computer coding and I’ve got a lot to learn.
I was trying to build a BetAngel spreadsheet where I could enter the target Betfair 8am odds and have Excel fire off a bet when the live odds matched the BF8 odds. I’ve put that project on the back burner now and have switched to using BetAngel Guardian to place bets at five minutes to kick off instead, and I selected systems where the Pinnacle odds consistently deliver the same returns as the the Betfair odds.
So far this is working well. I don’t have the anxiety of trying to get Betfair odds, I just set up BetAngel Guardian on a Friday and let it run, and trust that the odds at kick off will deliver an edge. Yesterday the Liverpool LTD price on the odds sheet was 6.8 and the price at five minute to kick off was 6.6, so better than target. Ian said on one of the Zoom meetings that generally the kick off price works out around the same as the BF8 price so I think using this approach should be a game changer, and I expect to get closer to 100% of the returns this season.
