Hey folks,
I’m curious what people’s thoughts are regarding “cash out” or just removing liability to leave a free trade. I find myself sometimes doing a mix of both across a weekend’s trading. I was wondering if anyone had done any analysis or kept any records on this. I’m guess the trade-offs are frequent smaller wins vs fewer but perhaps bigger wins (from simply removing liability).
Cheers

without knowing your system etc, cashing out or trading your profit and removing risk should only reduce variance, may sound good but this will likely involve you being at your screen more or having bots ready.
it really depends on you and how you want to operate, you could have some strats that are outright bets and some strats that are traded, i wouldn’t mix the two though on the same strat if it was me though.
