Hi Ian
I’m with you on winning rather than Top 4.
Top 4 to me means also ran; whereas a Cup or the league, different story – that’s what I remember, not whether we finished Top 4.
I’ve been backstage in a few stadiums and I didn’t see any accolades on the wall or in trophy cabinets for Top 4: there were lots of shields and cups but no league tables with Top 4 highlighted.
I was working in Madrid last year and the lad I was with wanted the Real Madrid tour: their trophy rooms seemed to go on forever and that’s what stuck in my mind – well, that and Gareth Bale’s shirt forlornly hanging on the end hanger!
